The LIQUORSTORE pomes        by James Bernard Gross

The LIQUORSTORE Pomes

“Reading Jim Gross' poems, especially those in his new volume, THE LIQUORSTORE pomes, one quickly learns his language, his lingo, is all his own. "Hey man – get otta here... No Bothering The Ladies". The book is replete with the colloquial, the language of liquorstore workers, neighborhood drinkers, young Tough guys, and most of all the poet's father, owner proprietor, and even himself, a younger Jim Gross.”

"How is it you spell pomes, man?"
